Enjoy a Wine Cooler

In this article you will about the wine cooler, a chilling drink that was popular in the 1980´s. Maybe you remember it still...?

Wine Cooler Is A Chiller Drink That Should Be Enjoyed With Responsibility

Wine coolers is something that I personally don't enjoy, but many others do. When drink wine coolers you should always be extra careful and responsible. Also remember that local laws do apply.

As we approach those hot, summer months and the holidays that most like to celebrate outdoors, there are very few things are as sweet and refreshing as a wine cooler, also known as a malt beverage. It has no beer aftertaste but not nearly as sweet as a soda or cocktail.

Wine coolers became popular in the 1980s and some may even remember a television commercial featuring mega-star Bruce Willis belting out a bluesy tune for Seagrams, one of the leading manufacturers of alcoholic beverages. Because of their low (average six percent, per 8 ounce bottle) alcohol content, they became known as “girly” or “kiddie” drinks. Yet, they are still enjoyed by all adults who just want a little refreshment.

One thing that has evolved since then is the variety of flavors and brands. Some, like the Mike’s brand tend to be more carbonated, or fizzy and others like Bartles and Jaymes have a wide selection based on today’s favorite cocktails like Fuzzy Navel, Blue Hawaiian, Mojito and Margarita. Smirnoff, Bacardi and Island Mist also have various flavors (some are in lighter calorie or carb versions). Seagram’s malt beverages are just as popular as it was more than twenty-five years ago.

Finally, what makes these drinks so great is the price. In this economy, it does not hurt to save a buck or two as a four-pack of pre-mixed cocktails run an average of $7-$12 dollars while a four-pack of wine coolers is about half of that price - or less! That is a savings of about four dollars per pack!

So if you're looking for something a little different to drink in the hot weather, why not try a wine cooler? These are available at any store that sells beer and wine products.
