How to Make Manieschevitz Elderberry Wine

Sipping a cup of Manieschevitz Elderberry Wine while resting in a tub of warm bubbly water with the music you grew up playing is heavenly. You will find yourself drifting back in time and feeling romantic. Oh, but this is not about how you can indulge yourself in a romantic rendezvous.

Do you want to know how to make or ingredients you need to make Manieschevitz Elderberry Wine? What are the steps to carry out?

Well, here it goes.

Manieschevitz Elderberry Wine is made with the following ingredients:

  • Red or Green Elderberries
  • Water
  • Sugar
  • Lemon juice and the rind
  • Campden tablets
  • Pectic enzyme
  • Yeast nutrients
  • Wine yeast
  • Raisins

Steps to carry out:

  • Wash the berries, the lemon and rinse the raisins.
  • Remove any stalks or hard pieces from the berries and raisins.
  • Crush the berries with the raisins and place them in a primary fermenter
  • Dissolve the tablets in hot water
  • Add the primary fermentor
  • Stir in the lemon juice
  • Stir in the pectic enzyme
  • Place all of the above ingredients in a container together and place in a dark location overnight.

  • The next day, add about a gallon of hot water to the mixture
  • Add the yeast
  • Mix all ingredients together and place again in the dark spot for three days

  • On the fourth day, strain the mixture to remove all husky ingredients.
  • Add the sugar and nutrients
  • Place the juice in another fermentor and seal to airlock.

Wine is intriguing. With each sip, your body feels warmth inside. You want to enjoy every minute and everything about life. Wine taken as directed by a physicians has medicinal benefits, helps to maintain heart health and has been found to ease an irritable infant when given as instructed by your child's pediatrician.

As you can see there are no grapes going into the winery from the vineyard when you are making Manischewitz wines, but it's still a great tasting wine. Italians have known forever the benefits of a good wine taken in moderation or consumed with meals at dinner.
